ARTIST STATEMENT

MY WORK

process: folding, sewing, writing, transformation
product: handbound books, works on canvas, assemblage
practice: intention and landscape

My work is an ongoing investigation into possibilities presented by paper, letters, poem and book form. My intention is to create works that appeal to the eye and the wonder of the mind. I aim to meld process and product into one of a kind and limited editions always with the goal to invite the viewer in. The work becomes a visual, tactile and conceptual journey as I struggle for balance and spontaneity within the creative process. For me, art is lived each day and is one of the healthy and healing activities that life has to offer.
